A one-page summary of one process

Farzad Amighi

Fit, missing information, approaches to consider, and a next step — in writing.

What you get

A written view you can use inside the plant. Planning support — not a supplier quote.

  • A written process assessment on Innovation Peer

    Process assessment

Whether automation fits this job, what information is still missing, and the main risks.

  • Supplier options a manufacturer can review before approving an introduction

    Supplier options, when you ask

Companies and products to consider if you want introductions. Nothing is sent until you approve it.

  • Illustrative cost examples for plant-floor jobs

    Cost drivers

What moves the price. Published dollar ranges only when an example already exists — not a quote for your plant.

Simple path

How it works

Four steps from a plant-floor description to a decision you control.

  1. Homepage challenge intake on Innovation Peer

    Describe one process

A rough plant-floor description is enough. Drawings can wait.

  2. Automation Project Studio where the process is reviewed

    Advisor review

We look at fit, missing inputs, and which approaches are realistic.

  3. One-page summary

You get feasibility, gaps, options, and a next step in writing.

  4. Free process review form. Supplier contact happens only with your approval.

    You decide sharing

Supplier introductions happen only after you approve what is shared.

Format sample — not a client case study

Sample one-page review

This shows the summary format only: feasibility, gaps, options, and next step. Not a client case study, not a supplier quote, and not a measured result.

Process

Manual end-of-line case palletizing

Likely approach: Robotic Palletizing & End-of-Line

Feasibility

Promising — line rate and SKU variation need validation

High SKU variation may reduce achievable cycle time.

Gaps

  • case dimensions and weights
  • pallet patterns
  • peak line rate
  • available footprint
  • SKU change frequency

Options

This sample does not name a supplier or pick a cell. A real summary lists approaches only after the gaps are discussed — for example staying with the current manual job, adding labour at the constraint, or scoping a palletizing cell once rate and footprint are known.

Next step

Collect one representative shift of production and changeover data.

Cost examples

Published Canadian dollar ranges for a few common plant-floor jobs. They show what is included and what moves the number. Illustrative examples — not a quote for your plant.

What the review covers

Four questions about the one process you describe.

You get the answers in writing.

  • Whether the process is worth automating
  • What information is still missing
  • Approaches to consider, and supplier options if you ask
  • A clear next step

Common questions

How much detail do I need to start?
A clear description of the plant-floor process is enough. You do not need drawings, cycle times, or a finished business case on day one.
What does Innovation Peer cost manufacturers?
Advisory help for manufacturers is complimentary. Innovation Peer may earn supplier-side success fees after an approved introduction. Suppliers cannot pay to rank higher. Equipment, integration, and installation are separate commercial matters between you and the suppliers you choose.
What do the online tools produce?
A written view of the process, likely approaches, supplier options if you ask for them, and what drives cost. Planning support — not an engineering stamp or a firm quote.
Will Innovation Peer contact suppliers on my behalf?
Only when you request an introduction, and only after you approve what may be shared. Your control of supplier contact is a standing rule, not an optional preference.
