Case packing, erecting, and sealing are a common next conversation after a line is already making product faster than people can put it in a box. The job is the case, the changeover, and what happens downstream.

This site does not publish an illustrative CAD band for case packing or packaging equipment. Palletizing has published planning ranges because that example is stacking cases onto a pallet, not erecting or filling the case. Do not reuse those figures as a packaging price. Case packing is not the palletizing number
A palletizing cell starts when a finished case arrives and ends when a pallet is ready to leave. A packaging project starts earlier: blank corrugate, the product, the pack pattern, and the seal. Mixing the two boundaries is how two quotes fail to compare.
If your pain is lifting finished cases onto a pallet, use the palletizing guide and its published ranges. If your pain is the pack itself, stay on this page and do not borrow that band.
Draw the packaging boundary
Name one line. Say what is in the first project: erect only, pack only, seal, or the combination you actually run with people today. Leave shrink wrap, labelling, and palletizing out unless they are the same station and you will say so.
A manual pack team that also builds pallets is two jobs. Automating both at once is a different scope from replacing the pack.
What to know before anyone prices a packer
You do not need a machine model. You need the facts that make a case packer, an erector, or “not yet” into different conversations.
- Case sizes, pack counts, and the SKU families that must run
- Product infeed: how it arrives, and how stable that presentation is
- Cases per minute at average and at peak
- How often you change over, and who does it
- Corrugate quality, glue or tape, and what fails today
- What the sealed case must do next, including checkweigh or a palletizer you already own
Why this page does not show a packaging price
SKU mix, changeover, and how hard the product is to place are the usual reasons a packaging number moves. A single CAD range would hide that. Innovation Peer has not published one for this task, so this page will not invent one.
Use the illustrative packaging example only to see how a planning output is structured. Treat every figure inside it as fictional planning material, not as a number to request budget against.
